Christmas, The Birth, Easter, the Resurrection

Christmas is the hope of the coming of God, our salvation in the flesh. It is a glorious event. “His name is Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God.” Isa. 9:6

“There has been born to you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” Luke 2:11 This birth led to Calvary and His resurrection which gives eternal life to those who accept His gift. “His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.” 1Peter 1:3

We have had a blessed year. This month we were able to share Christmas by giving 1648 stockings and over 2000 gifts to the Kickapoo Indians in Eagle Pass, Tx., 12 orphanages across the Mexican border and children on the border from Eagle Pass to Terlinqua. I give a heartfelt thank you to Alford and Beth Ann Brundrett who help to coordinate this work. Also for their team as we all work together.

Special thanks goes to Harlin and Karen Knight, Y.J. Jimenez and all of those who traveled to New Mexico to deliver gifts to the Apache and Navajo Indians.

I cannot thank enough all of those of you, individuals and churches, who gave of your time and resources to fill shoeboxes, make stockings, and donate goods and money to help it all become a reality for these kids. Some of you even went to help deliver and were able to see first hand the looks of joy that these gifts brought. We are sure to let them know that it is the love of Jesus that inspires the giving and that His gift of salvation can be theirs.

Christmas keeps on living in our hearts and gives us hope for the future. Have a great and blessed Christmas and Happy New Year!

Love Sam and Sharilyn
